How to Empower Yourself?

              empower

Going through life you’re going to have moments where you feel like you’re lost, losing faith, and losing all hope about what to look forward to in your future. I found a lot of ways how to empower myself in College and I’m willing to tell you guys what kept me moving forward with Faith.

  1. Talk to GOD

A lot of people don’t know where to start by talking to God. They don’t know how to approach him or what to say. Just start off by telling him how you feel about your life, about your problems, etc. (I know it’s awkward )  Trust me he already knows what you’re going through, he just wants you to open your mouth and talk to him. He said ask and whatever you need shall be given. Matthew 7:7. Find peaceful places to talk to him at. I ALWAYS go to nature. Nature is my go to and happy place to find peace and hope. I go to the river, the park, lakes, beaches etc. (I love being by water) for my own personal therapy.

2. Buy a Journal

Having a Journal is essential to your growth. I journal ALL of my thoughts. I write poetry, songs, stories, or simply free write. I always write down positive things about myself. I write down my goals and what steps I need to take to knock them out. When I’m feeling lost, I run back to my journal to read and write. It reminds me about how far I’ve come in life and how much more work I have to do. Without my journal I don’t know where I would be. I am the type of person that holds a lot of pent up aggression in me and I need to jot down my thoughts to release those strong feelings.

3. Fashion

Every since I was a little girl I’ve always empowered myself through fashion. I was that introverted, soft spoken girl at school, but my style always spoke for me. People began to love my creative style. I wasn’t doing it for the people or for recognition, I was simply being myself while empowering myself in the midst. I chose sophisticated styles and outfits that represented me. I even added my own personal style to my school uniforms lol. I wanted to dress like the woman I wanted to be. It was a reminder to me that I could be anyone I wanted to be and that fashion doesn’t have any rules. Letting my creativity run its course was amazing. I’ve always felt stronger and more heroic than ever.  I hope you guys use these methods to empower yourselves, that is my main goal ! Talk with you all later.
