“Never Doubt GOD”
Hello everyone, as some of you may know from Instagram I graduated five days ago. It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post and School was the reason why . I wanted to give it my all my Senior year in college. If you want to know more about my success story , outfit details, and grad hat details keep reading.
I would like to begin with my Success Story. I went to Tennessee State University. I started off majoring in Nursing because I knew I wanted to help people, but I was still leary about my major. When I didn’t have class or wasn’t working I always went to go volunteer helping the homeless, low income families , etc. in College. I didn’t live the ordinary college life ( lots of friends, partying , etc). God gave me a bigger vision by the end of my Sophomore year to start a non profit organization for homeless people and for anyone in need of guidance, leadership, and more. A vision way beyond nursing. So I changed my major to Professional Studies with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and everything else is history with God. I Graduated in 3 years with Cum Laude. I’m only 20 years old. I Graduated from high school at the age of 16. Overall, It was an amazing journey and I’m still in awe that I pushed myself to achieve all of my goals. Being a woman of substance has always been desired.
My hat says “Never Doubt God” now out of all the many different quotes and names I could’ve put on my hat , I decided to go with this one. People tend to forget who to thank when they become successful. Yes I thank my mom and dad for believing in me/supporting me, but no one can do what God can do. I wouldn’t have made it without him. He is amazing.
My journey wasn’t easy , everyday was a test for me whether it was dealing with negative people, grades, etc. I felt like all hope was gone. I just wanted it to end. Something deep down inside of me kept telling me to keep believing and to activate my faith. Faith is powerful because we don’t know if God is there, we don’t know if he feels what we’re going through at the time , we just don’t know, but we still put on the armor of God anyway. That’s power. Despite my circumstances I remained very humble, and kept believing and God showed up so many times during my journey. I am so blessed and grateful. He is real, his power is real. This is the number one rule for ANYONE who is going through something .P.S. I’ve never seen anyone put a letter at the very front of their cap so I decided to be the first to put the letter D which means 3 things my name, Danielle ,Driven , and Dope that pretty much sums me up.
Graduating in the fall can be a little difficult choosing what to wear because of the weather. It is cold around December. I kept things very simple, classic, and 40’s of course. I decided to go with a suit , sweater dress. When I saw this dress I immediately said to myself ” this is you” ” this is your style” lol. Sweater dresses are perfect to graduate in during the fall. Some people feel like they can’t go all out like they want to because of the weather, but you can. The key things to worry about when graduating are the lips, and the shoes. For my lips I went with red. Red is an all purpose color and it. makes your look pop. I made sure I wore some tights to keep my legs warm. I made sure my shoes stole the show . I wore my dazzling booties to add some style to my look which matched perfectly with the D on my hat . I hope you all felt inspired with this look more photos on my big day are below . These photos were taken with my Iphone. Thanks for reading and make sure you all Like. Subscribe. and Share.
